# IDaaS Organization Management Console Guide

## Operations Overview

## Step-by-Step Instructions

### Create Organization

**Navigation**: Console > Identity & Access Management > Organizations > Manage Organizations

**Prerequisites**:
- An active IDaaS CIAM tenant
- Administrative privileges to create and manage organizations
- Existing users or access to user data for import

1. Navigate to the Organizations section in the IDaaS console  
   - Element: **Organizations** (link) — left navigation panel

2. Click the **Create Organization** button to start creating a new organization  
   - Element: **Create Organization** (button) — top-right corner

3. Select the creation method: **Manual entry** or **Batch import**  
   - Element: **Manual entry** (radio) — main content area  
   - Notes: Choose 'Batch import' if uploading multiple organizations via a file.

4. If using **Batch import**, upload a structured file in the required format  
   - Element: **Upload File** (button) — file upload section  
   - Notes: Ensure the file follows the required format specified in the documentation.

5. If using **Manual entry**, fill in the organization details (see Form Fields below)

6. Click **Submit** to create the organization  
   - Element: **Submit** (button) — bottom of form  
   - Notes: A success message appears after creation. The new organization is listed in the organizations table.

### Associate Accounts with Organization

**Navigation**: Console > Identity & Access Management > Organizations > Manage Organizations

**Prerequisites**:
- At least one existing organization
- Existing user accounts

1. Navigate to the Organizations section  
   - Element: **Organizations** (link) — left navigation panel

2. Select the target organization from the list  
   - Element: **Select Organization** (dropdown) — main content area

3. Click **Associate Accounts** to open the account selection interface  
   - Element: **Associate Accounts** (button) — main content area  
   - Notes: A new panel or dialog appears showing available accounts.

4. Select one or more accounts to associate  
   - Element: Account checkboxes (checkbox) — account list table  
   - Notes: Multiple accounts can be selected at once.

5. Confirm the association  
   - Element: **Confirm** (button) — bottom of dialog  
   - Notes: After confirmation, the selected accounts appear under the organization in the details view.

### Customize Account Type (User Type)

**Navigation**: Console > Identity & Access Management > Organizations > Manage Organizations

**Prerequisites**:
- Administrative privileges

1. Navigate to the Organizations section  
   - Element: **Organizations** (link) — left navigation panel

2. Switch to the **User Types** tab to manage account role definitions  
   - Element: **User Types** (tab) — top navigation

3. Click **Create User Type** to define a new role type  
   - Element: **Create User Type** (button) — top-right corner

4. Enter a name for the user type and select base permissions  
   - Element: **User Type Name** (text_input) — form field

5. Click **Configure Data Fields** to define custom attributes  
   - Element: **Configure Data Fields** (button) — form section  
   - Notes: A configuration panel opens where you can add fields like legal name, ID number, etc.

6. Add required or optional data fields using the data dictionary  
   - Element: **Add Field** (button) — data fields panel  
   - Notes: Each field must specify type (text, number, etc.) and whether it is required.

7. Save the user type configuration  
   - Element: **Save** (button) — bottom of form

8. Assign the new user type to an existing account (optional during creation)  
   - Element: **Assign User Type** (dropdown) — account details panel  
   - Notes: The assigned type will determine the account's role and permissions.

A: Yes, you can edit basic organization details by selecting the organization and clicking the **Edit** button in its details panel.

Q: What happens if I leave the Description field empty when creating an organization?
A: The Description field is optional. Leaving it blank will not affect functionality, but it may reduce clarity for other administrators.

Q: Do I need special permissions to create user types?
A: Yes, only users with administrative privileges in the IDaaS CIAM tenant can create or modify user types.

Q: Can I associate an account with multiple organizations?
A: No, each account can be associated with only one organization at a time in the current version of IDaaS CIAM.
