# Alibaba Mail Account Management Console Guide

## Step-by-Step Instructions

### View Account Information

**Navigation**: Console > Mail > Account Settings > Account Information

**Prerequisites**:
- User must be logged in to Alibaba Mail console
- User must have administrative privileges to view account information

1. Navigate to the **Account Information** section  
   - Element: **Account Information** (link) — left navigation panel  
   - Notes: Ensure you are in the correct Alibaba Mail console environment

2. View account details displayed on the page  
   - Element: **Account Details** (tab) — main content area  
   - Notes: Information includes email address, account status, storage usage, and subscription plan.

### Manage Account Security

**Navigation**: Console > Mail > Account and Security

**Prerequisites**:
- User must have administrative privileges
- Valid email address associated with the account

1. Click on the **Account and Security** tab in the left navigation panel

   - Notes: This opens the security configuration page

2. Review current security settings and update as needed

   - Notes: Changes take effect immediately after saving

1. Log in to the **Alibaba Mail** app  
   - Element: **Alibaba Mail** (link) — Mobile device home screen  
   - Notes: Complete authentication within the mobile app first

2. Click the **Scan code to log in** option in the lower right corner of the login box on the web page

   - Notes: The QR code is valid for 5 minutes.

3. Find and use the **Code scanning entry** at the top right of the main interface of the Alibaba Mail app

   - Notes: After successful scan, login completes automatically.

## FAQ

Q: Where can I find my account’s storage usage and subscription plan?
A: Go to Console > Mail > Account Settings > Account Information. The **Account Details** tab displays your email address, account status, storage usage, and subscription plan.

Q: Can I modify security settings like two-factor authentication after initial setup?
A: Yes. Navigate to Console > Mail > Account and Security at any time to toggle two-factor authentication, adjust login restrictions, or change the password policy.

Q: What happens if I don’t select a time zone?
A: The system defaults to UTC. To ensure accurate timestamps for emails and calendar events, it is recommended to explicitly set your local time zone via Console > Mail > Account Settings > Time Zone.

Q: Do I need special permissions to view or edit account settings?
A: Yes. You must have administrative privileges to access most account management features, including security configuration and time zone settings.

Q: Why isn’t the QR code login working?
A: Ensure the Alibaba Mail app is installed and updated, you’re logged into the app, and you scan the code within 5 minutes of its generation. The QR code expires after this period.
